EDM Dance Move: Jumpstyle For House
Hey Club Dancers,
In this lesson, I teach the introduction to a dynamic club dance move The Heel Step/Back Tap Jumping Style (Jumpstyle), starting with two basic fundamental moves - The Heel Step and The Back Tap (Jumpstyle).
Jumping is not something you would normally do in a crowded, dressed-up club, but if you're in many electronic music venues with more space such as raves, a house music club, outdoor parties, festivals, or a house party, it's possible to break out these "jumpstyle" moves. The moves are fun, more energetic, and help create the party. If you love house or trance music, you'll definitely feel the music more dancing this style.
It's useful across for many style of electronic music. In particular, I'd recommend it for all kinds of house, trance, euro, and techno. For electro and progressive dubstep, it'll work for some tracks though the Club Dance Style moves in my House Dance For Clubs Level 1 program might work better.
The jumpstyle introductory moves in this lesson are pretty simple, so we're going to dance the step in a switchup pattern for variety. I also show some basic hand movements, though much more is covered in the program. For more house dance and electronic dance moves targeted for the clubs, as well as full practices, dance step variations, and more, check out my House Dance For Clubs Level 1 program.
